SPACEAPP DOCUMENTATION

What is SpaceApp?

Your agents, projects and ideas. One connected workspace.

SpaceApp is a self-hosted AI workspace that brings coding agents, chat, browsers, live voice, files and shared memory into one place. Organize your work in rooms and keep the tools for each task side by side.

Your host runs the workspace and stores its data. Connect to that same host from a computer, phone or tablet, and continue with your existing projects and sessions.

Start with one idea#

You do not need to set up every integration at once. Install SpaceApp, create your owner account and start with OpenCode. Add other providers, tools and rooms as your work grows.

bash
npx --yes run-spaceapp@latest install

Install Node.js 20.11+ first. The launcher checks your machine and manages Docker-based services. Follow the installation guide for platform requirements and resource profiles.

A workspace that fits your work#

  • Rooms and panes keep a project's conversations, terminals and browser views together.
  • AI agents work through their own runtimes and provider accounts. Choose the ones that fit your task.
  • Canonical memory keeps scoped project knowledge, decisions and their sources available for retrieval.
  • Plans and Agent Files keep notes, progress and published outputs accessible from your workspace.
  • Live voice offers a conversational surface when its provider and audio setup are configured.

Bring your own AI#

SpaceApp is free to self-host. AI subscriptions, API usage and external services have their own pricing and terms. Available runtimes, models and optional services depend on your release, resource profile and configuration.

Self-hosting gives you control of the host and stored workspace data. Configured AI providers may still process the prompts, files or audio you send them. Read Security & privacy for the boundaries.

Where to go next#

Follow Your first session to connect a project, explore the agent catalog, or use the CLI reference to operate an existing installation.
