One goal. Super agents.
Your space.

Your AI coding agents, one mind that runs them, your memory, your logins and your model accounts, in one self-hosted workspace on any device.

The live demo as it opens: the Research Lab room with a chat, a video, a browser and a files pane, all with invented data

A live mock of SpaceApp, in your browser.

The demo is a copy of the SpaceApp interface with invented data. Click through rooms, panes, copilots and docks as you would in your own install: nothing you type leaves the page, and no agent, AI provider or server is contacted. For real agents, install your own SpaceApp.

Why I built SpaceApp

I built it to be my main work tool. I'm a developer! And it became my main tool and work environment. I no longer need to open email, social media or any development program: absolutely nothing. I'm inside SpaceApp all day; I even watch YouTube videos and listen to music through SpaceApp.

Nikolaos Theodoropoulos on LinkedIn (opens in a new tab), founder and CEO of SpaceApp

25 years in IT, 17 of them building and running a large e-commerce platform. He builds SpaceApp with the AI coding agents that run inside it.

Every tool, in one space.

From the first CLI to the mind that runs your whole space; the docs describe each one.

Workspace

  • Rooms and panesUp to 16 panes per room, and six warm rooms that keep their sessions between switches.
  • 16 AI coding CLIsOpenCode first, then Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI and twelve more, each on your own account.
  • Room AgentWatches every pane in its room and answers the prompts that wait for you.
  • Managed browsersChrome panes with tabs and device sizes, handed to you for a sign-in (large profile).
  • Scheduled tasksA task with a time or a repeat is typed into its CLI pane when the pane is free.
  • Team roomsEach person gets a CLI container, and a room can be shared to view or to work in.

Mind and memory

  • NousOne mind that runs your whole space and asks you only what it cannot decide.
  • Needs youOne request when an agent needs your hands or an answer, with a question and options.
  • Plan mapEvery open plan, what it waits on and what to unblock first.
  • Space MemoryDecisions and project knowledge that every agent session reads and writes.
  • Research CouncilSeveral models answer on their own, score each other and agree a Top 3.
  • Live voiceTalk to your workspace; it opens panes and directs agents.

Logins and model accounts

  • VaultAgents fill your logins and one-time codes without seeing them.
  • Space GatewayYour subscriptions first and your API key last, for every CLI and copilot.
  • Token usageTokens per model, provider and account, with their API value and your real bill.

Copilots

  • Mail CopilotWorks through your Gmail, drafts replies and learns how you handle mail.
  • Job CopilotApplies to job postings in the pane browser and keeps your tracker.
  • Marketing CopilotDrafts posts from your briefs and publishes them after your review.
  • Freelance CopilotFinds client work and writes proposals under daily limits.
  • Security CopilotWatches new vulnerabilities and patches your hosts through a gate.
  • Monitoring CopilotExplains your alerts and repairs what a playbook covers.

Studios

  • Design paneImages, templates and brand kits that any agent can ask for.
  • Video paneClips, captions, narration and music in every social format.
  • App StudioMobile apps with previews on ten phones and a test APK.
  • Media StudioScreenshots and short videos of your own workspace.

One mind for your whole space.

Nous sees every room, pane, copilot and plan. You talk to it instead of to every agent: it does the routine work itself and brings you only the decisions that need you.

  • It reads every pane's progress reports instead of its screen, so it knows what each agent does and what it waits on.
  • It does the routine work itself: it opens and closes panes, sends them their next step, runs helpers side by side and saves finished work to memory.
  • It brings you four kinds of decisions only: releases, deletes, anything that reaches third parties or money, and the direction of the work.
  • When an agent needs you, you get one request with a question and options, on screen, on your phone or in Telegram; requests for your hands wait for the morning.
  • It watches your AI quotas and spends less while they run low.
  1. Your roomspanes, copilots, plans, releases
  2. Nousreads their reports and does the routine work
  3. Yourelease, delete, third parties, direction

Your secrets stay yours. Your agents still work.

Two services on your own host that agents use without holding your passwords or your keys.

Copilots and studios for the work around the code.

Each copilot is a pane with its own CLI agent, memory and activity feed: you answer its questions and reviews in the rail, and how much it does alone is your choice. The Design, Video and App Studio panes make graphics, videos and apps for any agent that asks.

Mail Copilot with a reply waiting for review, Job Copilot with its queue and Marketing Copilot with a LinkedIn post in review

The same room on a phone.

Copilots are optional modules: new installs start with none of them. Turn one on with optionalModules in the launcher's config.json, then run npx --yes run-spaceapp@latest repair. Copilots that use the pane browser need the large profile.

Talk. SpaceApp takes action.

Live voice is a real conversation with your workspace: it opens rooms, directs agents and tells you what is done, so your hands stay on the idea.

Your next idea doesn’t start from zero.

Space Memory keeps decisions and project knowledge as records that every agent session reads and writes, searchable in the app with a graph view and vector search.

Ask once. Get a council, not a guess.

The Research Council puts several models on the same question: a coordinator plans, each member answers on its own, every member scores the merged positions, and the coordinator writes the agreed Top 3.

Keep the work together, not just the chat.

Every kind of work has its pane: 35 pane types, up to 16 in a room, side by side.

Small releases, often.

Every release of the public installer, run-spaceapp, is on npm and in the release notes.

  1. 1.1.7

SpaceApp and the run-spaceapp launcher move to the MIT License, OpenCode 2 is the first CLI, backup saves the database, files, memory and workflow history from one moment, a failed restore puts every database and file back, and dependency security updates.

  2. 1.1.6

Team accounts with a CLI container per user (off until the owner runs user enable), Codex sandboxing where the host allows it, install telemetry only after the owner's Yes, and session, WebSocket Origin and framing hardening.

  3. 1.1.5

Security hardening: other local sites cannot use your session, child processes no longer receive the session secret, and optional modules start off on new installs.

Your host. Your data. Clear terms.

SpaceApp runs on your own machine. The AI providers you connect receive what you send them, under their own terms.

  • Hardened in 1.1.5 and 1.1.7

    • Other sites on your machine cannot read your session or its CSRF token.
    • Agent CLIs, demo projects and browsers do not receive the session secret or the database URL.
    • SpaceApp's own images are pulled by the digest the release records; third-party images are pinned by digest.
    • Every Admin Mode file change is audited.
  • MIT License

Open source, copyright INTRATRADE SINGLE MEMBER P.C. Use, copy, modify, distribute and sell it, including self-hosting and commercial use, as long as the copyright and licence notice stay with it. Read the LICENSE.

  • Telemetry only with your Yes

The install wizard lists what is sent and asks; the default is No. With Yes, a random install ID links the install, setup and first-answer events and at most one activity event a day; no files, prompts or credentials. Security & privacy guide.

Small profile: 4 CPUs, 7 GiB RAM and 6.5 GiB free disk. Browser panes need the large profile: 8 CPUs, 15 GiB RAM and 11 GiB free disk. Node.js 20.11+ is required; the launcher installs Docker if it is missing. OpenCode is the first CLI in setup.

To continue from another device, connect to the same reachable host. Keep that host running. Phones and tablets access your workspace; they do not run the Docker installer.

What is SpaceApp?

SpaceApp is a super agent app for building with AI. Start with a conversation, then bring your agents, tools, files, previews, plans and shared memory into the same space. Use as much of it as you need.

What is Nous?

Nous is one mind for your whole space. It sees every room, pane, copilot and plan, does the routine work itself and brings you only the decisions that need you, such as releases, deletes and anything that reaches third parties or money.

How does the Vault keep my passwords from agents?

Your browser encrypts each login and the database keeps only ciphertext; a root-owned broker on your host holds the key. Agents and Nous ask the broker to fill a login or a one-time code and get back a status, not the value.

Can I keep working from my phone or tablet?

Yes, once your installation is reachable from them. By default SpaceApp listens only on its own host; to use it from a phone, tablet or another computer, give it a reachable address with TLS and a firewall (see Remote & mobile access in the docs). The host must stay on.

Is SpaceApp free?

SpaceApp is free to self-host. Bring your own AI accounts or API keys; provider subscriptions and usage are separate.

What licence does SpaceApp use?

SpaceApp is open source under the MIT License, copyright INTRATRADE SINGLE MEMBER P.C. You may use, copy, modify, distribute and sell it, including self-hosting and commercial use, as long as the copyright and licence notice stay with it. The LICENSE file on GitHub has the full terms. How does SpaceApp compare with other agent workspaces?

SpaceApp runs on your own host, and you reach it from a browser on any computer, phone or tablet. It runs 16 AI coding CLIs side by side on your own accounts and is MIT licensed. The comparison page puts it next to eight other tools, with a source for every cell.

Do I need to install every AI tool?

No. Start with one conversation or one agent, and add providers and accounts as your work grows. The setup starts with OpenCode; you choose what to connect next.

Are the copilots on when I install?

No. The copilot panes are optional modules, and new installs start with none of them; you turn one on with optionalModules in the launcher's config.json and npx --yes run-spaceapp@latest repair.

How do new tools reach my install?

Through the launcher: npx --yes run-spaceapp@latest update brings the newest public release, and the release notes list what each version brings.

Where does my work live?

Your workspace runs on your own installation. Connected AI and external services process the information you send to them under their own policies.

Does SpaceApp send telemetry?

Only if you say yes. The install wizard lists what is sent and asks; the default is No. With Yes, a new install gets a random install ID that links its events: the install (OS, CPU, RAM, profile, versions), owner setup, the first CLI and the first answer, and at most one activity event a day (screen size, browser, UI language, version). No files, prompts, answers or credentials are sent, and the IP address is not stored. Nothing is sent with No.

Can I try it before installing?

Yes. The live demo runs in your browser with local demo data and no account; it does not contact AI providers or a real installation. When you like it, install your own workspace.

Bring SpaceApp to your team.

A paid pilot for software and AI teams of 3–15 developers who already use AI coding CLIs. We install SpaceApp for each developer on their own machine, using your own API keys.

One install per developer, each the owner of their own SpaceApp OpenCode and Claude Code on your own API keys, with your MCP servers Nightly backup with a tested restore 2 workflows or MCP integrations built with you Team training and 30 days of support 2–4 weeks · from €1,500, fixed quote, 50% deposit

CLIs in the pilot: OpenCode and Claude Code. Other CLIs are added when they pass a task on your install during setup.

How the pilot works

  1. A 30-minute scoping call: your team, your tools and the two workflows.
  2. A written fixed quote and statement of work; 50% deposit.
  3. Week 1: install and configuration on each developer's machine.
  4. Weeks 1–3: the two workflows or MCP integrations.
  5. Last week: team training.
  6. Handover with a written runbook; 30 days of support start.
  7. A review call: continue or stop. No lock-in: the install stays yours.

What the pilot is not

  • Not a production security certification. SpaceApp is actively developed software with a public list of open findings.
  • Not tenant isolation. Each install has one trusted owner, and rooms organise work rather than separating untrusted users.
  • Not a sandbox for the host. Agents work with the folders and credentials an install is given. Scope them per machine.
  • Not hardened for the open Internet. If you expose an install, TLS, proxy access, firewall and log retention are yours.
  • Production use needs at least a threat model for your environment, monitoring of the nightly backups and a review of the logs against your requirements. These can be scoped as separate work.
